LAB 1.1

I. Solfege Patterns

Write the correct solfege syllables on the worksheet. Each example will be played twice. Spelling Counts!

III. Chords

All of the chords are dominant seventh chords. Indicate the correct inversion with the appropriate figured bass symbol. Write "root" for any root position chords. Each example will be played twice.

V. Short Harmonic Dictation

You will hear i - iv - V - i or I - IV - V - I to establish key, and one measure of clicks. In each exercise, the first chord is any tonal triad, the middle is some type of dominant seventh and the final chord is a tonic harmony. Indicate the cadence type in the space provided.
