The Thunder of The Flatirons Drumline is instructed by Ryan Serpan. Ryan has been teaching lines in Colorado for 5 years. He has taught with Golden High School, which has one three state championship metals and two third place metals under Ryan. He has also taught with Centaurus High School, which has placed in finals with the RMPA two years running and looks to metal soon. Recently, he has begun teaching with Sheridan High School, which holds a long tradition of high drums during the fall, he looks to continue this streak and bring them a state championship in the RMPA. Ryan was a member of the University of Colorado Drumline from 2001-2004
and tapped center snare his junior year. His senior year, Ryan was
the Drum Major for the Golden Buffalo Marching Band. Ryan looks
to continue teaching at the University of Colorado for many years.
