College of Music scholarships are awarded to music majors only. Students are automatically considered for a merit-based music scholarship upon completion of the application process, including the audition. No additional application is necessary. To be assured of full consideration for these awards, the audition evaluation process should be completed by February 15. Students will be informed of their admissions status by mail as soon as possible after their audition. Scholarship decisions, in most cases, are made early in March and scholarship contracts are announced in a letter mailed later in the month. Once formally admitted, students are advised to pay their confirmation deposit and to make a residence hall request at their earliest opportunity, but no later than May 1 to guarantee space availability.

There are other non-music scholarships available through the university. The deadline for most of the scholarships is March 1. Students must be admitted to the university by this date in order to be eligible for these scholarships. For more detailed information on these non-music scholarships, please visit http://www.colorado.edu/finaid/scholarships.html.

TRANSFER STUDENTS: If you are receiving a scholarship from your current school, you must submit the Scholarship Release Form before we can consider you for any scholarships at CU.
