Prospective undergraduate music majors must apply to the university and to the College of Music by submitting an Audition Application and passing an audition. Faculty who listen to live and taped auditions will automatically consider students for a music scholarship. No special application is needed for scholarship consideration.
Undergraduate auditions are held at the College of Music on select Saturdays in January and February. Special programs and question-and-answer sessions are arranged for students and parents who wish to attend. Other audition times are available on an individual basis (contact the undergraduate office at 303-735-2283). If travel distance is prohibitive, a high-quality audio or videotape may be substituted. Tapes should be received by February 15 and live auditions completed by the first week of March for students who wish to be considered for financial assistance from the College of Music.
