The CU Presents Box office is hiring for the fall semester!
CU Presents is the marketing, public relations and ticketing agency for all performing arts events presented by the Artist Series, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the College of Music, and the Theatre and Dance department. We are looking for several ticketing agents this season to help with sales during the school year. The job is a good fit for undergraduate and graduate students as a work-study position. Our office is conveniently located on campus in the main lobby of the University Club building, and we are open from 10AM – 5PM Monday through Friday, as well as one hour before all performances.
Job Duties: Become knowledgeable about CU Presents performers, events, and subject matter; assist patrons with in-person, phone, and online ticket sales; provide customer service, exchanges, and CU Presents information; maintain ticketing and patron database as needed; some evening hours required.
Desired Qualifications: Must be a new or continuing CU student as of Fall 2013; Friendly and outgoing personality that can interact with the public on a regular basis; strong language and communication skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office products and standard web browsers; strong attention to detail; previous customer service experience preferred.
Start Date: At least one week prior to the start of classes (August 19th). Preference will be given to applicants who are able to start by or before August 5th.
Hours: Box office employees are assigned regular weekly hours (10AM – 5PM Monday through Friday) each semester based on class schedule and staffing needs, generally between 10-15 hours a week. Additional evening hours are scheduled as-needed to work night-of-show ticket sales and will call.
Compensation: Box office employees are paid starting at $9.00/hour and receive free tickets to CU Presents events.
