The College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks an Associate Director of Choral Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure track.
Appointment to begin in August 2014.
Full-time, tenure track, Assistant Professor. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Applications: Screening will begin November 15, 2013, and will continue until the position is filled.
This full-time faculty member will direct choral ensembles as assigned, teach undergraduate conducting, serve on graduate committees, coordinate undergraduate outreach and recruitment efforts on behalf of the choral area; assist the Director of Choral Studies with general administration of a nationally-recognized choral program, plus service activities of the College and University.
The College of Music offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in performance, composition, musicology, and music education. 58 full-time and 23 part-time faculty members teach approximately 300 undergraduate and 250 graduate students. Facilities include three concert venues, a comprehensive music research library, and an outstanding choral library. There are six curricular choral organizations and a well-established graduate program in choral conducting.
