Tenzer – “Music in Balinese Society”

1. Describe the difference between Javanese gamelan and Balinese gamelan

(see Sutton).

2. Briefly explain the relationship between gamelan music and the Javanese conception of time (see Becker).

3. Describe the teaching and learning process in Balinese gamelan music (see Tenzer).
