Course Registration
Information
Resistration is accomplished directly through
the Mountain Research Station, by filling out an informational form
online and submitting the course deposit. Courses are run through the
Divsion of Continuing Education. Credits are no different than other
courses run at the University of Colorado. Courses are offered at the
same cost for Colorado residents and nonresidents. In addition, the MRS
courses fulfill CU's Environmental Studies field course requirement.
Registration for courses is taken on a first come, first
serve, basis, assessed by when a deposit is received. To register for a
course on line, please fill in the
reservation form, and send or deliver a check to reserve your place in
the course. (Note: the registration form is not considered complete
and will not be processed until we receive your deposit. If the course you are interested in is full, your check will be held, and your name will be put on a waiting list in case space becomes available. You may call (303) 492-8842 to check on the availability of courses. Final registration will take place on the first day of the class and the balance of the cost is due at that time. A late fee of 5% will be assessed if payment is not received by that date. Please send a copy of your transcript indicating that you have taken the prerequisites for those courses in which you have registered. Cancellations Course reservations must be cancelled by April 7, 2008 (December 15, 2007 for Winter Ecology) to receive a 80% reimbursement of your deposit. After that date, deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are refunded in full if the MRS has to cancel a course. If you are coming from out-of-state, we recommend that you check course enrollments with us before buying non-refundable airline tickets. Credit and Transcripts Credit is easily transferred to other schools. After completing a course, write to the address below to request a free transcript: Registrars Office Send a letter with your name, student id, date of birth, address, dates of attendance, and complete mailing address. Be sure to sign your request. Unsigned requests cannot be honored due to a Federal regulation concerning official transcripts. |
