Course Registration

Registration for courses is January 1 - April 13, 2001 and are taken on a first come, first serve, basis. The popular courses fill quickly -- often by the first of March. A late registration fee of $10.00 will be assessed after April 13, and courses without sufficient enrollment will also be cancelled at this time.

To register for a course on line, please fill in the reservation form, and send or deliver a check to reserve your place in the course. (Note: the registration form is not considered complete and will not be processed until we receive your deposit.) If we do not receive your check by the end of 3 days we will remove it from the list. If you are concerned about mail delays, you may want to send your check by priority (2-day) mail.

If the course you are interested in is full, your check will be held, and your name will be put on a waiting list in case space becomes available. You may call (303) 492-8841 to check on the availability of courses. Final registration will take place on the first day of the class and the balance of the cost is due at that time. A late fee of 5% will be assessed if payment is not received by that date. Courses are offered at the same cost for Colorado residents and nonresidents. Please send a copy of your transcript indicating that you have taken the prerequisites for those courses in which you have registered.

Cancellations

Course reservations must be cancelled by April 13, 2001 to receive a 75% reimbursement of your deposit. After that date, deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are refunded in full if the MRS has to cancel a course. If you are coming from out-of-state, we recommend that you check course enrollments with us before buying non-refundable airline tickets.

Credit and Transcripts

Credit is easily transferred to other schools. After completing a course, write to the address below to request a free transcript:

Transcript Department, Campus Box 68
University of Colorado
Boulder, CO 80309-0068

Send a letter with your name, social security number, date of birth, address, dates of attendance, and complete mailing address. Be sure to sign your request. Unsigned requests cannot be honored due to a Federal regulation concerning official transcripts.

In addition, credit from the MRS fulfills CU's Environmental Studies field course requirement.
