Senior Design Project Information: Tax Exemption and Reimbursement

Tax Exempt Information:
The University of Colorado, as a public institution of higher education of the State of Colorado, is exempt from all federal excise taxes and from all Colorado State and local government sales and use taxes.

Sales Tax Exempt Certificate
You need to take a copy of the Tax Exempt Certificate with you when you purchase supplies for your Senior Design Project

Reimbursements:
If you use you own funds to purchase supplies for your Senior Design Project and wish to be reimbursed turn in a Non-Employee Reimbursement Form along with the original receipts. Fill out the "payee information" and "general trip/reimbursement information" sections of the form, then bring the completed form and original receipts to Victoria Lanaghan in ECME 112D. Be sure to work with your team Financial Manager to ensure proper accounting of expenses.

We also reimburse for travel expenses with the Non-Employee Reimbursement form. Mileage for trips made to/from Industry Sponors or for purchasing goods can be reimbursed. keep record of miles traveled on theTravel Mileage Log, then bring it in with completed Non-Employee Reimbursement form.
