The staff members in the Department of Mechanical Engineering have varied responsibilities. Those who interact regularly with the graduate students are listed below to help you to determine who to go to with questions related to your graduate student experience, payroll, access to the machine shop, and other important activities:

Vicki Bain
Vicki will help you with any purchasing related matters including Interdepartmental Invoices (INs), Purchase Orders (POs), and standing POs.  This includes a standing purchase order that we have with McGuckin Hardware, a local hardware store in Boulder.  Vicki will also help you with reimbursements and travel information, and can provide physical keys with appropriate faculty approval.

Micah Emery
Micah is the departmental Information Technology specialist and will help faculty and staff with all IT-related issues in the dpepartment.

Larry Monke
Larry is the primary resource for our undergraduate students and interacts with them from orientation during the freshmen year through graduation at the end of their senior year. Larry provides general guidance on questions related to the Mechanical Engineering undergraduate curriculum, requirements for graduation, as well as providing general advising

Greg Potts
Greg is the Lab Coordinator for the Mechanical Engineering Durning Lab. He manages the Mechanical Engineering machine shop, oversees (mostly undergraduate) student projects in the Durning Lab, and can assist graduate students with design and building instruments or experimental setups.

Sharon Anderson
Sharon is the primary resource for our graduate students and interacts with our graduate students from the beginning of the application process through graduation. Sharon provides general guidance on questions related to the Mechanical Engineering graduate curriculum, requirements for graduation, preliminary and comprehensive examinations, as well as providing general advising.

Patti Siegfried
Patti is the assistant to our departmental chair. She can provide general departmental information to graduate students and others. Patti schedules our conference rooms and can check out projectors for courses or presentations. She also distributes mail and packages upon arrival.
