Advising Guide

Each graduate student is assigned an academic advisor when she/he starts the graduate study. The academic advisor is responsible for giving the student suggestions and guidance about course, research, and career development. Also, for master student with non-thesis track, the academic advisor should sign your graduation sheet. Please check with the graduate coordinator for your academic advisor. Also, please try to schedule a meeting with your academic advisor during the first semester of your graduate semester. You may schedule meetings with your academic advisor during the course of your graduate student.

If a graduate student decides to do some research, or to do a thesis, the research advisor or thesis advisor will automatically become her/his academic advisor. The student does not need to ask the graduate coordinator to make a change.
