Skunk Creek Turn south on the Skunk Creek Trail, where there is another rest stop with scenic views. Implementing the Research Park Master Site Development Plan, this area, including three small lakes, was permanently reserved in 1990 as a natural area through “wetland banking” (allowing development of some wetland area, in exchange for equal or greater area preserved and rehabilitated). Several varieties of birds and small animals have made their homes in the rehabilitated vegetation. Interpretative signage provides an educational resource.
