University Avenue and Broadway The tour begins at the southeast corner of University Avenue and Broadway. Pedestrian and bike paths are separately identified for safety on the busy Broadway route. At this corner is the Koenig Alumni Center, which was built in 1884 and was the residence of university presidents until 1968. As the tour crosses University Avenue, architect Charles Klauder’s 1934 Sewall Hall can be seen terminating the east end of this wide boulevard. The tour proceeds north down the Broadway hill.
