Campus Perimeter Tour

Williams Village

George and Everett Williams, brothers and developers of Boulder’s Martin Acres and Gunbarrel neighborhoods, donated 85 acres to the university in 1963.

The residential towers dominating the view are named for Robert Stearns and Ward Darley, former CU presidents. East of Williams Village are the mid-rise Bear Creek Apartments, built in 2003 to provide housing for 1,000 students.

Turning off the Bear Creek bike path, head west along the bike path parallel to U.S. 36. This is a bike path alignment first proposed in the 1990 Campus Master Plan to connect Williams Village to the Main Campus. You'll pass under Baseline Road, then west under U.S. 36, parallel to Baseline Road.
