Mission Statement: As one of the countries top public research universities, we take pride in training undergraduates. An important part of our training program are our independent study and research lab programs.

Given the realities of both scientific research and undergraduate life, much of the important and interesting work done by undergraduates goes unpublished. Yet it contains the hard work and often creative insights of talented students.

Through the ucbUSJ we hope to acknowledge and distribute these insights and accomplishments to the broader University and National scientific community.

Publications will be reviewed by our editorial board of faculty, post-docs and graduate students to insure that they meet scientific standards. Where necessary, revisions will be suggested.

Accepted manuscripts will be posted on the web site and made down-loadable as pdf files.

We invite manuscripts on research observations, experiments as well as novel methods or technical shortcuts.
