Circulation deskBorrowing materials from the library is simple. Your Buff One Card works as your library card. If you don’t have one, you can present your photo ID.

Want to have something held for you to pick-up or to be delivered?

Click “Request it” in Chinook and we'll deliver it to the library of your choice by the next day.

For CU-Boulder faculty and staff, we’ll also deliver it to your on-campus mail box in one to three business days.

Request Book chapters or Journal Articles

Request a copy from Document Delivery via ILLiad.

Need something that’s already checked out?

Option One (3-5 days)

See if another library has a copy in Prospector and “Request it.”

Option Two (up to 2 weeks)

Click “Request it” in Chinook and the person with the book will have to bring it back.

Option Three (7 days to a month)

Go to WorldCat to find another copy and request it from Interlibrary Loan via ILLiad.

Returning Library Items Is Easy

Bring your returns to the Norlin Library Circulation Desk or any of our other libraries during open hours. Ask for an e-receipt or place the materials in our desk-side return bins.
