Research Data Initiative

Student working on a laptop and taking notesManaging, archiving and providing public access to research data have become increasingly important concerns for research funders, journal publishers and universities.

CU-Boulder University Libraries, Research Computing and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research have begun an initiative to help faculty and student researchers manage the data they produce through their research.

We support researchers with:

  • Writing Data Management Plans for grant proposals
  • Understanding requirements and best practices for research data management
  • Storing and archiving research data
  • Identifying resources for research data management
