Here are a couple of sample maps generated by the Site Based Mapping Application To generate a map, you need to know the exact latitude and longitude of an EPA-regulated site. Find the coordinates by using the Envirofacts Query Form. You can enter site name, location, or SIC code. The query form will return a list of facilities which matched your query. Put a mark in the circle next to the report desired and generate a report for the facility. The latitude and longitude will be at the top of the facility report.
After you submit request, the server will give you the addresses of the map and text reports where your information will be posted after the server processes your request. Make sure to write these down. Better yet---include your e-mail address in the map request. You will receive an e-mail message with the map address when it is completed. Maps remain available for two weeks. Save your map to disk if you want continued access. It takes about 1/2 hour to make generate each map.

Here 's a sample of the information posted onscreen after you submit your request. The same information is repeated in the e-mail confirmation message: http://www.epa.gov/r10earth/pickup/national/t0319150519.txt (Text Report) http://www.epa.gov/r10earth/pickup/national/t0319150519.gif |
