for the years 1985-present.
Climate
Visualization features interactive retrieval of National Weather Service
Summary of the Day and Climate Division Drought data by state and station.
Results can be viewed in several graphic formats. Text browsers and users
with slower connections can access the data at U.S.

Colorado Climate
Summaries from Western Regional Climate Center offers access to daily
extreme and daily average climate data including temperature, snowfall,
snow depth, precipitation, degree heating and cooling days. Includes data
for 134 Colorado locations.
Colorado
Climatologies:
Basic climatology and monthly rankings for temperature and precipitation,
selected cities in Colorado. Basic Climatology in graph format. Users
with text-based browsers and slower connections can access the data at
an
alternate site.
Storm
Events a database from the National Climate Data Center. It provides
state and county level data on all weather events from 1993 to current.
It also includes information on tornadoes from 1950-1992, thunderstorm
winds from 1959-1992, and hail 1959-1992.
Colorado Natural Diversity
Information Source includes a variety of full text publications on plants,
animals, water quality, population growth, and land use. The interactive mapping
application "displays state-of-the-art information on wildlife, plants, and
natural communities in Colorado."
AIR Data"gives
you access to air pollution data for the entire United States. Want to
know the highest ozone level measured in your state last year? Ever wonder
where air pollution monitoring sites are located? Are there sources of
air pollution in your town? " Search by Source for sources of pollutants
regulated under the Clean Air Act.
Envirofacts
queries multiple EPA databases ( eg. AIRS/AFS, CERCLIS (Superfund data),
PCS, RCRIS, and Toxic Release Inventory) for information on a local community
level.
Surf Your
Watershed: Colorado from EPA. This service allows the user to select
from a clickable map to select a watershed. Environmental data (which
varies by watershed) may include: air and water quality, hazardous waste,
water use, land at risk for erosion, and other information.
Toxic Release Inventory alternate
version. "The Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) is a database of information
about releases and transfers of toxic chemicals from manufacturing facilities."
Includes a feature to download data in ASCII format for import into a
spreadsheet application.
Census of Agriculture
provides county-level data (in Table 6) on the amount of land in farms,
in woodlands, set aside for conservation and other information. Table
8 contains data on irrigated lands.
ESRI/FEMA Project Impact
"...FEMA and ESRI have formed a National Partnership in part aimed at
providing multi-hazard maps and information to U.S. residents, business
owners, schools, community groups, and local governments via the Internet."
The site includes a feature to create a hazard map online. Choose a location
by zipcode, city and state or choose a congressional district. Map options
include flood hazard zones, recent and historic earthquakes, historic
hail storms, tornadoes, wind storms, and hurricanes. Maps can be printed
or e-mailed. The site also includes links to emergency management sites
by state and other information.
Natural Hazards
Data Resources Directory includes data resources organized by natural
hazard topic and lists of hazard-related organizations. Provides names
and addresses for Colorado agencies. Topics cover: Avalanche, Earthquake,
Landslide and Mass Earth Movements, Radon, Tsunami, Volcano, Drought,
Flood, Hurricane, Severe Storms, Snow and Ice, Tornado and Severe Winds,
Wildfire and Forestry.
Natural Hazard Statistics
provides "statistical information fatalities, injuries, and damages caused
by weather related hazards. These statistics are compiled by the Office
of Meteorology and the National Climatic Data Center from information
contained in Storm Data, a report comprising data from NWS forecast offices
in the 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands." The site
provides state and US summaries and separate reports on lightning, tornadoes,
tropical cyclones, heat, floods, cold, winter storms and wind. Data are
available from 1995 to the most recent year. Each report is available
as an individual file or page. Some pages are in .pdf format.
Roadless Areas "are
National Forest System lands that have remained generally unroaded for a variety
of reasons—inaccessibility, rugged terrain, or environmental sensitivity."
The site includes background materials. Maps
for the entire state and invididual areas are available online.
Snow Course Data Network
from the Natural Resources Conservation Service includes graphics of current
snowpack and other snow data.
