Join CU-Boulder Associate Professor of Classics John Gibert Monday May 9th  at 5:30 p.m. for “The Edges of the Earth in Herodotus’ Histories”. The talk, held in the Denver Public Library, will survey tales of people and creatures living at the edges of the world as known to the fifth-century BCE historian and traveler Herodotus, and consider the curious blend of mythic and rational thinking they reflect.

“The Edges of the Earth” is part of Rocky Mountain Map Society’s Map Month 2016: “Illusions, Delusions & Confusions”. For more information, visit http://rmmaps.org or email maplib@colorado.edu.
