Dr. Lundy earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Denver in 2007. Her dissertation examines issues of nationhood and identity in the works late-nineteenth-century American authors Stephen Crane, Abraham Cahan, and Charles Chesnutt. Although American literature continues to be a part of her research and teaching, recently she has focused on film and media studies, teaching a variety of courses on film directors, genres, and media studies. She has been teaching college-level courses since 1998 and joined Libby RAP in the Spring of 2012. A native of Denver, Tiel enjoys hiking with her husband and two daughters, exercising, cooking, and knitting.
