Roberto B. Pinheiro is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D., Economics, 2009), Roberto has been an active researcher in the intersection between finance and labor markets. In particular, he studies how differences in the labor market structure in different markets from private equity to family firms - impact a firm¹s value and choice of capital structure, as well as productive decisions. His work has been published at the Journal of Political Economy, International Economic Review, and Journal of Corporate Finance, as well as covered by many media outlets.
Professor Pinheiro teaches courses in asset pricing in the undergraduate and theoretical corporate finance in the Ph.D. program.
