Roberto B. Pinheiro is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D., Economics, 2009), Roberto has been an active researcher in the intersection between finance and labor markets. In particular, he studies how differences in the labor market structure in different markets – from private equity to family firms - impact a firm’s value and choice of capital structure, as well as productive decisions. His work has been presented at several respected conferences, as well as covered by many media outlets.
Professor Pinheiro teaches courses in asset pricing in the undergraduate and theoretical corporate finance in the Ph.D. program.
