Nathalie Moyen is an associate professor of finance at the Leeds School of Business and an affiliated faculty at the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Professor Moyen was the Judith C. and William G. Bollinger Visiting Associate Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2007-2008. Also in 2007-2008, she received the Charles H. Guiney Professorship Award for Innovative Research. She earned her Ph.D. in finance from the University of British Columbia.
Professor Moyen investigates the financial decisions that corporations make and how these financial decisions can influence economic decisions such capital investments and hiring. Her research has been published in several journals, including the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and the Journal of Finance where her manuscript was nominated for the Brattle Prize.
Professor Moyen teaches in the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs. She teaches classes on corporate finance and derivative securities. She was the Leeds School director for the University of Colorado Early Career Faculty Teaching Excellence Program for 2009-2011. Since fall 2011, she is the finance Ph.D. program director.
