Biography

Iulian Obreja is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Leeds School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University.

Professor Obreja’s research interests lie at the intersection between asset pricing and corporate finance. In particular, corporate investment and financing policies under uncertainty, imperfect competition for economic rents, determinants of risk premiums in equity and credit markets, financial crises, and systemic risk. He has published in top finance academic journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Review of Finance.

Professor Obreja teaches in the undergraduate and Ph.D. programs. He currently teaches corporate finance and the fundamentals of asset pricing.
