Biography
Denise Sparks is a Career Coach who works with all First and Second Year students and focuses on career and industry exploration. Denise provides advice on career paths and areas of emphasis, an overview of the hiring and recruiting process throughout a student’s time at Leeds, internship and experiential learning preparation, resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn and Handshake profiles, networking and interviewing. Additionally, Denise works with faculty to create, deliver, and evaluate classroom career assignments to expose students to important career topics early in their degree programs.
Denise’s background includes more than a decade of career advising experience at the Leeds School of Business, college admissions advising for high school seniors, as well as 7 years in corporate recruiting and hiring. Denise received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
