Linux/Solaris
Only Windows XP and Mac OS X are officially supported. Since Pharos uses a standard LPD print queue structure, you may be able to configure your *NIX-flavored operating system to send jobs to the Pharos server's print queue. You will not be able to password-protect your print job using this method. The Pharos server is 128.138.83.33, the queue name for the law school printers is WOLFLAWBW_Q. This is unsupported, but some users of BSD and Linux-based systems have reported success.
Tips: - At this time, only CU Boulder affiliates are allowed to access the university's network. Non-affiliates should plan to print research materials from the library's public terminals (no word processing or spreadsheet printing is available).
- The printers in the law school support double-sided printing (at a modest discount).
- Set your computer to print double-sided in your operating system's "Print..." dialog box.
- To print to law library printers from off-campus, you must use a VPN connection to the campus network.
- For information about printing from library- or ITS-owned computers, or other printing in the law library, see this guide [pdf].
