Accessing Electronic Resources
Information for CU Faculty, Staff & Students
The law library subscribes to many online resources. Descriptions of each particular database, content coverage and access restrictions are available on the Databases page. The majority of resources are available to all CU Boulder faculty, staff, and students. CU Boulder students, staff and faculty may access these materials from anywhere on campus; for off-campus access, read the "Connecting from outside the law building" section on the Databases page.
Information for Public Patrons About Electronic Resources
The law library provides 12 public research terminals for you to use while you're at the library. These computers don't have Microsoft Office or other word processing software, but they are able to access the library catalog and most library databases. You can also print out any research results using a print card.
Almost all of our commercial databases are licensed for public walk-in use. This means that you will have access to databases for finding journal articles, court opinions, statutes and even electronic forms. The law library also provides public access to Shepard's Citations and West's Key Cite citator for making sure your research is up-to-date.
Due to licensing restrictions, you will not be able to access the majority of our databases from off campus.
