EESI RESEARCH FELLOW TO SPEAK AT UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA LAW SCHOOL
On March 23, 2007, Kevin Doran, CEES Research Fellow, will speak at a conference hosted by the Virginia Environmental Law Journal, located at the University of Virginia School of Law. The conference, entitled "Filling the Void: Individual, Private Sector, and State Responses to Global Climate Change," will bring together a diverse group of scholars, practitioners, and innovators to explore cutting-edge sub-federal domestic responses to global climate change.
Kevin's presentation—and the article on which it is based (forthcoming 2007)—is entitled: "Sub-Federal Climate Change Policies and the Domino Rationale:
Moving from Symbolism to Substance?"
About Kevin Doran
Kevin Doran joined the CU Law School faculty as a research fellow in 2004. As a research fellow to the Law School’s Center for Energy and Environmental Security, his work centers on analyzing the geopolitical, environmental, and economic dimensions of energy law and policy. Most recently his work has focused on U.S. state and regional clean energy and climate change activities. He is managing director of CU’s International Sustainable Energy Assessment, a global project to analyze the impact of international law on the deployment of sustainable energy technologies. Prior to joining CEES he worked as a research associate at the Natural Resources Law Center, specializing in international conservation easements. He attended the University of Colorado Law School, where he served as an editor of the CU Law Review. |
