10th Annual Wirth Chair Sustainability Awards Call for Submissions: Open to undergraduate and graduate students attending colleges and universities in Colorado, the Wirth Chair is asking students to respond to the following question: What would you ask the next President of the United States to do in the first 100 days of the Administration to address climate change? Award winners will be recognized at the 10th Annual Wirth Chair Sustainability Awards luncheon in Denver, Colorado on April 12, 2007. First Prize: $2,000 Second Prize: $1,000 Third Prize: $500 Submission Guidelines: Submit a written response to the question above that is no longer than five double spaced typewritten pages. Additional page(s) noting sources must be included and will not count toward the five page limit.  Original work only. Responses are encouraged that outline the most effective, innovative, and realistic actions that will provide credible and substantive approaches to addressing climate change. Focus is encouraged on solutions rather than the imperative or rationale for action. Submit electronically by no later than February 9, 2007 to wirthchair@cudenver.edu . Award winners will be given the option of creating an additional visual presentation of their ideas in advance of the awards luncheon. Faculty :  If you wish to issue this competition to your classes, please do.  But we would ask that you then screen the submissions and send us only your top three.
