FREEDOM FROM OIL
Oil is the lifeblood of modern civilization. Yet it also presents grave environmental, economic and national security concerns. On November 12, 2007, CEES presented lectures by two distinguished guests, David Sandalow, Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution and Joel Swisher, Associate Director of R&D at the Rocky Mountain Institute.
The speakers discussed concrete strategies for addressing one of the greatest challenges of our time: ending our dependence on oil and creating a clean energy future. Following the event David Sandalow signed copies of his new book "Freedom From Oil: How the Next President Can End the United States’ Oil Addiction" (McGraw Hill, 2007).
