Behind the Numbers

Much has been written over the past few years about the cost/benefit of a Juris Doctor. While the reasons for wanting to obtain a law degree vary for each student, we at the University of Colorado Law School feel it is important to explain the full costs of a law degree, the types of work our alumni are doing and the factors that will help our potential students to make an informed decision.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A LAW SCHOOL
Every law school is different and every school has its pluses and minuses. Students must decide for themselves what is important to them when choosing their alma mater. Some factors to consider:

  • Faculty
  • Courses, clinical offerings, and areas of study
  • Location and community
  • Student organizations
  • Lifestyle
  • School reputation and ranking
  • Size of student body
  • Cost of attendance and debt load upon graduation
