On-Campus Interview Program
On-Campus Interviews (OCI) are held each semester for employers to recruit students to work as:
- Summer Associates or Law Clerks
- Law Clerks or Externs
- New Attorneys after Graduation
Law firms, public interest organizations, government agencies, the military, and corporations all participate in OCI. Employers pre-screen all applicants. For fall interviews, we offer an early interview week in August, but allow employers to pick any date between September and October if that is more convenient. For Spring interviews, employers may choose any available date between February and April.
Resume Collect Program
For employers not able to come on campus, our Resume Collect Program allows in- and out-of-state employers to receive resumes from interested Colorado Law students.
Externship Program
Employers may seek the assistance of a law student extern. The Externship Program allows law students to earn academic credit for doing substantive legal work with a government agency, private non-profit or public interest institution, or other private sector employer such as a law firm. Students are not paid, nor may client fees be collected for their work.
Public Service Program: Free CU Law Student Assistance
Request Colorado Law students for law-related public service work, not for credit or other compensation, through the Public Service Pledge Program. Work should include lawyering skills, public education activities, and service of the legal profession or legal institutions: nonprofit organizations, public interest law firms, local government agencies, public defenders, legal services offices, or private firms with pro bono projects. To request law student volunteers, contact Professor Melissa Hart

Rankings Policy
Like many other law schools, Colorado Law limits rankings to the upper tier of the class. This change followed studies and surveys of employers initiated and conducted by the students, and it affects the Class of 2008 and all subsequent classes. The rules regarding rankings are as follows:
- Only the top 1/3 of students in each class receive individual numerical rankings. There is no ranking of students below the top 1/3 of each class.
- A student may at any time request a copy of her or his transcript with no rank (individual or percentage) printed on it.
- First-year students do not receive rankings (either individual or percentage) after their first semester of study; instead, ranking of the first year class will be done only after second semester grades are submitted.
- The numerical grade cut-off for the top 1/3 is publicly available. No other rank/grade relationship (e.g., 50th percentile) is available.
