The workshop on Affordable Housing and Public/Private Partnerships: The Intersection of Housing, Property, and Real Estate will provide an opportunity to engage with broad questions of housing law, policy and practice, with a primary emphasis on the public-private partnerships through which most affordable housing is now built, operated, and maintained. The workshop is bringing together a wonderful array of scholars to discuss a range of important topics in affordable housing—everything from transactional lawyering in affordable housing deals to HOPE VI to predatory lending and homeownership to domestic violence and senior housing and many other fascinating presentations and papers. At a time when housing is at the center of the efforts of so many communities to respond to individuals and families in crisis and at the same time dominating headlines around the world, this workshop could not be more timely.
