  • Geography: Boulder’s elevation is 5,400 feet and it’s located 30 miles northwest of Denver. The 40th parallel (40 degrees north latitude) runs though Boulder and is easily recognized as Baseline Road.
  • History: Boulder City was incorporated in 1871, and in 1876, Colorado was granted statehood and the University of Colorado at Boulder opened.
