The University of Colorado Law School will host the second annual Corporate Counsel Intensive Institute (CCII) for new and prospective in-house counsel. The event will take place at the Wolf Law Building in Boulder, Colorado from January 4-8, 2016, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. The faculty will be:

  • Fiona Arnold, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade
  • Rasmani Bhattacharya, Gates Corporation
  • Susan Blount, Prudential Financial Inc.
  • Michael D. Fricklas, Viacom, Inc.
  • Jason Mendelson, Foundry Group
  • Randy Milch,  Verizon Communications Inc. (former)
  • Mark Roellig, MassMutual Financial Group

This immersive and innovative one-week program allows participants to work directly with and learn from some of the most dynamic and progressive current and former Fortune 500 General Counsel and familiarize themselves with best practices for in-house counsel.

Colorado Law designed the CCII to help increase long-term retention rates and improve success for those transitioning in-house. CCII presents an opportunity to increase strategic thinking abilities, gain confidence in high-stakes situations, and learn how to effectively embrace risk in a corporate legal environment.

“Colorado Law is committed to enhancing its world-class legal education with additional tools and context to enable our students and the legal community to thrive and make meaningful contributions as in-house lawyers,” explained Colorado Law Dean Phil Weiser. “This unique course will enable lawyers to learn from the best in terms of how to succeed in the in-house environment.”

“The Corporate Counsel Intensive Institute offers participants interaction with some of the most prominent leaders in the in-house legal community, insight into how those leaders shape their respective legal departments, and tips on how to succeed as an in-house attorney. I highly recommend that attorneys who are interested in joining the in-house legal community participate,” said Dylan Ahn, corporate counsel for DISH Network, and a former participant in CCII.

“I attended CCII in 2015 and found it to be extremely useful. All of the lecturers’ lessons and insights were thoughtful and practical, and the program also consisted of case studies and group discussion, both of which were great learning tools. As an attorney who was fairly new to the in-house world, the course was extremely valuable to me,” said Michelle Rosenthal, corporate counsel at T-Mobile.

The tuition for CCII is $2500 per attendee. For more information and registration visit colorado.edu/law/ccii.
