Frederic Bloom and Jennifer Hendricks Join Colorado Law Faculty

Colorado Law enthusiastically welcomes the two newest members of its faculty, Fred Bloom and Jennifer S. Hendricks. Both Hendricks and Bloom join the faculty as tenured associate professors.

Bloom, a Colorado native, joins Colorado Law from his previous position at Brooklyn Law School, where he was a four-time teacher of the year. Bloom will be teaching Civil Procedure, Federal Courts, Evidence, and a seminar. His scholarship focuses on issues of procedure, evidence, and design in modern federal courts, and has appeared in publications such as the Stanford Law Review, the University of Chicago Law Review, and the Cornell Law Review. Bloom received BA from Washington University in St. Louis and his JD from Stanford Law School, and clerked for Judge Marilyn Hall Patel at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Judge Sydney R. Thomas at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit before entering academia.

Hendricks joins Colorado Law from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she specialized in gender issues, constitutional family law, and federalism. Her work has appeared in publications such as the Michigan Law Review, the Columbia Law Review, and the Harvard Civil Rights – Civil Liberties Law Review, and most recently she has focused on the law’s response to sex differences in parental rights. Hendricks received her BA from Swarthmore College and her JD from Harvard Law School. Before entering academia, Hendricks clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and practiced law in Helena, Montana. Hendricks will become co-director of the Juvenile and Family Law Program at Colorado Law.
