Professor Guruswamy Delivers 30th Annual Scott Lecture on "Sustainable Energy"

On Thursday February 17 Professor Lakshman Guruswamy delivered a groundbreaking lecture, "Sustainable Energy: A New Framework," making the case for a new international framework for addressing issues of sustainable energy. Dr. Guruswamy's lecture culminated in an ambitious proposal that would establish Colorado as a global leader of the new legal, political, and scientific approach to major environmental concerns.Lakshman Guruswamy is the Colorado Law Nicholas Doman Professor of International Environmental Law and is the Director of the Energy Environment Security Initiative (EESI) of the University of Colorado. This is an ambitious interdisciplinary project that seeks to find renewable energy solutions for the energy deficits confronting not only the United States, but more particularly the developing countries of the world.
