Law Library Journal honors outstanding achievement in research and writing with its Article of the Year Award. This year's award went to two librarians from the University of Colorado Law Library. Georgia Briscoe, Associate Director and Head of Technical Services and Karen Selden, Catalog Librarian, won the award for their article, "The Catalog vs. the Homepage" Best Practices in Connecting to Online Resources," 95 LLJ 151 (2003). Co-author, Cheryl Nyberg of the University of Washington Law Library also shared the award. The article explores the best way to bring useful Internet resources to the attention of library users. It concentrates on the pros and cons of using the library catalog or the library home page.
