The Certificate

The certificate in language teaching with technology is a 12-credit fully online graduate program for pre- and in-service language teachers who wish to learn how to leverage today's technology to improve their students proficiency and inter-cultural competence. It is offered by the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Flexible program:

  • Fully online
  • Courses can be taken in any order (except for the capstone course LGTC 5050)

  • Take as many or as few courses as you want

  • Complete the certificate in one year or in up to three years

Eligibility

The minimum requirement to take a certificate course is a BA or equivalent. 

Audience:

  • Language teachers (pre-service, in-service, all languages including ESL, all levels)
  • Language program directors and staff
  • Language center professionals
  • Language Technology Specialists (faculty support, instructional designers, etc)

Cost:

  • $380/credit hour
  • Limited number of scholarships are available (contact us)
  • CU graduate students may receive partial funding for this program
