For the next couple of weeks Scott will be in the field in West Virginia with his colleague David Toews, a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow working with Irby Lovette at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Scott and Dave will be collecting blood samples from golden-winged warblers in the southern Appalachians to continue their genomic work investigating hybridization and genomic differentiation between blue-winged and golden-winged warblers
