• The Bierbaum Lab has received the 2016 CU Green Labs Program Award for Laboratory Achievement.

  • Charles Nichols defends his Ph.D. Thesis "Gas-Phase Ion Chemistry: Kinetics and Thermodynamics."  Charles will carry out post-doctoral studies with Professor John McLean at Vanderbilt University, beginning in May 2016.

  • Callie Cole defends her Ph.D. Thesis "The Ionic Building Blocks of Life: Exploring Astrochemistry Through Mass Spectrometry."  Callie has accepted a position at Fort Lewis College, Durango CO, as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry.

  • Nicholas Demarais defends his Ph.D. Thesis "Gas-Phase Ion Chemistry in Interstellar, Circumstellar, and Planetary Environments."   Nick will carry out post-doctoral work with Prof. Peter Derrick at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

    Dr. Zhe-Chen Wang has joined the Bierbaum group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.  Zhe-Chen received his Ph.D. with Professor Sheng-Gui He at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.  He has carried out post-doctoral studies with Professor Helmut Schwarz at the Technische University Berlin, and with Professor Elliot Bernstein at Colorado State University.

    Dr. Jennifer Reece has joined the Bierbaum group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.  Jennifer received her Ph.D. with Professor Hilkka Kenttamaa at Purdue University.

  • Veronica Bierbaum is named the 2012 University of Colorado Distinguished Research Lecturer.

  • John Garver successfully defends his Ph. D. thesis "Gas Phase Negative Ion Chemistry: Reactivity and Mechanisms in Fundamental Organic Reactions".

    Callie Cole has been awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for the remiander of her graduate research (2012-2015). Congratulations!

  • Dr. Nadine Wehres has joined the Bierbaum group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

  • Veronica Bierbaum has been elected as a 2010 fellow of the prestigious American Association for the Advancement of Science. Congratulations! 

  • Oscar Martinez's graduationOscar Martinez graduated in December 2010. After postdoctoral studies at Harvard University with Dr. Michael McCarthy, Oscar joined the research group of Dr. Al Viggiano at the Air Force Labs in Albuquerque NM.
