Kari has a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.S. in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina. She received her Ph.D. from University of Colorado Boulder in 2019 Her research focused on ultraviolet light disinfection systems and appropriate applications of drinking water treatment technologies. Kari has worked as a project engineer and project manager in the private, public, and non-governmental sectors.
