ARC's strong web presence includes the publication of ColorLines Magazine, as well furthering the ERASE (Expose Racism & Advance School Excellence) initiative, and WARP (Welfare Advocacy Research Project). A truly excellent site. Highly recommended for activists and educators.

This gateway to the activist movement works as a central hub,
linking communities of color with organizing skills, political
education, and visions of a just society. CTWO seeks to galvanize
public support for policies that both advance racial justice
and promote equity in the arenas of gender, economics, and sexuality.
For over 20 years, CTWO (pronounced C2) has proffered training
and resources to
ColorLines Magazine: Focusing on race, culture, and action, this hard-hitting journal is one of the most informative sites on the 'net. Highly recommended for both educators and activists.
GROWL: Grassroots Organizing for Welfare Leadership is part of a national movement for welfare rights and economic justice in the United States. The site includes articles and reports, along with opportunities to get involved in this necessary movement.
Heifer Project International: A unique project working to end hunger worldwide by donating farm animals (and training in their care) to families in need. Self-reliance and autonomy is the key to success, for this group -- as well as for the families they help. Check it out!
Opening Doors: A housing initiative for citizens with disabilities -- particularly for those on restricted incomes -- Opening Doors offers policy analyses and resources for finding that most elusive "comfort": a home. We particularly recommend the Going It Alone publication, available for free download in pdf. format at the Opening Doors site.

National Women's History Project: A non-profit organization with a fine web presence, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating diverse women's accomplishments. Highly recommended educational site!
V-Day: Until the Violence Stops: Helping to end violence against women worldwide, this site includes calls for papers, information about current cultural events (including a Spanish translation of The Vagina Monologues!), and much more. Get involved!
Women for Women International: Working for economic, political, and social justice for women everywhere. The organization provides women with the tools and resources necessary to move from poverty to self-sufficiency, through a three-tiered program. Also celebrates the arts of women around the world through various venues further supporting the program.
