Entro con mi vestido piel de culebra
the snake skin forms perfect designs
disfrazando el movimento interior
inferior
llevo gafetes que son estrellitas de oro
hearts and hands - an intricate lacing
along the hem
me miran con ojos de admiración
burla, envidia, pesar,
ecchoes of laughter and words
mesh en un gran murmuro
Pero el vestido se mueve con su propia
insistencia - insolencia
dragging the hem along
marble floors, earth, wooden planks,
cement platforms and smooth linoleum
The stars twinkle changing
into a million eyes
parpadeando al pasar por estos corredores,
puentes, cuartos, hallways, gardens,
quintas, fincas, calles, highways, streets,
borders
Por fin me quito el vestido
only to find that
its design is imprinted on my skin
leaving in relief its reptile tracks
