CULTURAL TOURISM IN ANCHORAGE
by Alice Rose Crow

The Cultural Guide tells tourists her imagined past

How she thought we should've been

The tourist wishes it true

And calls the late afternoon rainbow

over the Chugach range

A sign of blameless unity

A romanticized past is an easy story line

Continuing their tradition of Natives

As objects of

Curiosity

Observation

Exploitation
