Pictured here on a clear
day, Lenni can take her eyes off her feet for a moment. A wood
worker and builder by trade, Ms. Calipo joined the STANDARDS
team on a dare, creating many of the works featured in our publication
with her daughter, Paloma. Lenni is of Puertoriqueña and
Filipina heritage, and honors the struggles of her immigrant
parents, while considering her life and the many new cultures
she has discovered her own. Six years clean and sober, Lenni
is grateful for many things; inspired by a few; and occasionally
committed to being a grownup. |
