MORE THAN CRAZY
William Bray

consider if you will
the cultural bones
that lay hidden in the
comforting arms of a
fractured and impatient earth
and the mouths that open in golden
expertise to tell their story

consider if you are willing
the battles and bastards
who set the rules for
what we might say and when
and where

I am in need of a new way of speaking
allowing that their words
if they are words at all
jump and leap to different purpose
and leave the speaker hadje
which in Indian means
more than crazy
