Project Information
We conduct multi-methodological inquiry based primarily on in-depth
interviews with young people and members of their families, focus
groups with young people and their friendship circles, and observations
of household use of media. Analysis of our data is based in critical/cultural
studies work on television audiences, film and genre theory, art
and religious history, and with reference to national survey data
such as the GSS, Gallup, the Youth and Religion study, NORC, and
others.
