Assistant Professor Rick Stevens joined the faculty in 2008 from Southern Methodist University, where he was on the faculty of the Division of Journalism. He earned his BA from Abilene Christian University in advertising and his PhD in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Stevens teaches applied and conceptual courses in the area of new media journalism. His research interests include the ways in which journalism ethical models should be adapted for new media publications and the portrayal of technology in traditional mass media.
